The Seniors will be looking to rectify Friday night's Derby defeat tonight in Chester-Le-Street.
Friday night was certainly a game to forget, as the Seniors fell to a 4-1 defeat against bitter rivals Ryton & Crawcrook Albion.
Tonight's opponents, Chester-Le-Street Town, currently sit 7th in the league, having collected nine points from their opening five games. Their last match was a 2-1 win away at Darlington Town, thanks to a Luca Nelson brace.
The Seniors currently sit 20th after five games.
Kick-Off is at 7:30pm at Moor Park, Chester-Le-Street on 12th August 2025. Admission is £6 for adults and £3 for concessions, and under-16's can enter for free with a paying adult.
The Opposition
2024/25 saw the Seniors face Chester-Le-Street Town on two occasions in the league, as they completed the double over the Cestrians. The first win came as a 2-1 win at Moor Park, thanks to goals from Matt Law and Freddie Marr. At Essity Park, the Seniors won 3-1 back in April, thanks to goals from Harry Marr, Matt Law and Michael Wright.
Tonight's opposition have already visited Essity Park this season, as they lost 2-1 to Newcastle University. They are due to face the Seniors in December at Essity Park.
Chester-le-Street Town's other league wins this season have came against Billingham Synthonia, Billingham Town and Darlington Town.
Chester-Le-Street Town currently play their games at Moor Park in Chester-Le-Street.
Players to Watch
Having missed Friday's derby due to holiday, Jay Plunkett returns to the squad for tonight, bolstering the defence for tonight's tie.
Joining Plunkett in the squad is winger Ryan Ndiweni, whose attacking flair will hopefully come in handy for the Seniors tonight, as they take on one of the league's best defences.
