Match Preview: Darlington Town vs Seniors

Match Preview: Darlington Town vs Seniors

Jack Robinson5 Aug - 22:08

One of the furthest away trips of the season awaits tomorrow night.

The Seniors are still searching for their first win of the season after their 5-0 loss on Saturday to Seaham Red Star.

A game to forget last Saturday, as the lads were punished for their mistakes, as they hope to iron those out tomorrow night.

Tomorrow's opponents, Darlington Town, currently sit 9th in the league, having won two of their opening three games. Their last match was a 3-0 victory over Billingham Town, who have already beaten the Seniors this season, meaning a challenge is afoot tomorrow.

The Seniors currently sit 20th after three games.

Kick-Off is at 7:30pm at Eastbourne Community Stadium, Seaham on 6th August 2025. Admission is £7 for adults and £4 for concessions, and under-16's can enter for just £1 with a paying adult.

The Opposition
2024/25 saw the Seniors face Darlington Town on two occasions in the league, as they lost both to the County Durham outfit. At Essity Park, the Seniors lost 2-1, whilst suffering a 3-1 defeat on the road.

Tomorrow's opposition have already visited Essity Park this season, as they lost 2-0 to Newcastle University. They are due to face the Seniors in November at Essity Park.

Either side of Newcastle University, Darlington Town beat both Billingham Synthonia and Billingham Town, putting them on six points for the season so far.

Darlington Town currently play their games at Eastbourne Community Stadium in Darlington.

Players to Watch
As the Seniors look to score their first goal of the season, Freddie Marr makes his first squad of 2025/26, and after scoring some impressive goals in pre-season, he will be fancying his chances tomorrow.

Also in the squad is goalkeeper Sam Wilson, who has been ever-present so far this season. Whilst hoping for a better scoreline than Saturday, Wilson has made some key saves this season already, and will be hoping for more tomorrow.
