Match Preview: Seniors vs Esh Winning

Match Preview: Seniors vs Esh Winning

Jack Robinson26 Aug - 22:30

The Seniors continue to search for a first home-win of the season.

Saturday saw the Seniors crash-out of the FA Vase, as they fell to a 2-0 defeat at Garstang. In the league however, the Seniors have picked up four points from their last three games, which will have them feeling optimistic ahead of tomorrow.

Esh Winning sit 21st in the league, having collected four points from their opening eight games. The Seniors sit 18th on six points.

Esh Winning's last match was a 4-1 defeat to Divison One side Easington Colliery, which also saw them exit the FA Vase.

Kick-Off at Essity Park is at 7:30pm on Wednesday 27th August, although supporters are encouraged to arrive early, in order to avoid mass queuing. Admission is £6 for adults and £3 for concessions. A printed Match Programme will be available on-entry, with it being included in the price of the adult admission fee.

The Opposition
Esh Winning has been an ever-present fixture in the Seniors calendar, with them having been a part of all three of the Seniors' previous Ebac Northern Football League Division Two campaigns.

Despite being ever-present, Esh Winning have had a tumultuous time of late, as they were one of the League's surprise-packages last season, finishing just-shy of the play-off spots.

Esh Winning have endured a difficult start though, and come into this game having lost all of their last four games.

2024/25 saw the Seniors face Esh Winning twice in the league. The Seniors failed to score on both occasions, losing 2-0 at Essity Park, but drawing 0-0 at the WindowsPlusRoofs Arena.

Players to Watch
The first player-to-watch tomorrow night is Freddie Marr, whose attacking qualities will be key tomorrow night, as the Seniors face one of the league's leakiest defences this season.

The other one-to-watch is full-back Fin Baty, whose welcomed return will help to strengthen the defence tomorrow.

Good luck, lads!
